Rock Salt Scuba has a full range of dive courses that can be tailored to suit your diving aspirations. Whether you are looking to learn to dive and seeking the best open water course that you can find or whether you are a certified diver looking for additional challenges then we will guarantee that our courses are some of the most rigorous and compreshensive available. Our recreational and technical diving courses are second to none!

If you are not yet a certified diver, you will want to look at our essential courses that include Open Water, Advanced Diver and Rescue training.

Certified divers looking for a new challenge should check out our specialty courses and technical diving courses as there will surely be a course that appeals to you.

For many divers, the formality and committment required by many scuba courses can be intimidating. Therefore we are pleased to offer a number of half day and full day workshops. These workshops run as coaching clinics and will be tailored to your diving abilities and aspirations.

Whilst not every diver should consider teaching diving, we do offer a range of professional courses such as Divemaster, Assistant Instructor and Technical Divemaster.

We appreciate that picking from our course options can be a challenge in itself. Rock Salt Scuba therefore is pleased to offer free counselling and appraisal sessions. These are normally run at a pool or local dive site and are a chance to go for a dive and get some feedback and advice on how to improve your diving. Please contact us to arrange a session.

Online Training

In 2003, SDI was the first scuba training agency to develop an open water diver online training program. The program gives you the convenience of completing all of the academic training at home and on a schedule that suits your lifestyle. If you are interested in online training, you should complete this training before you attend any pool/confined water sessions.

SDI Online Training Since the inception of the Open Water Diver Program SDI has continued to be the first training agency in the scuba industry to develop online training for several diver specialty programs including nitrox, wreck, navigation and deep. SDI also offers a number of professional level courses with an online academic component.

To sign up for the online program, simply goes to the SDI Online Training web site. You may either purchase a course code from us or you may sign up directly online. If you sign up directly, you should choose Rock Salt Scuba as the SDI facility with which you will complete your in-water training.

Advancing Your Diving

If only planning your future training as a diver was as easy as walking into a dive store and signing up for the next course on offer. Yes, you can do that - but you will also benefit from planning how you are advancing your training.

First and foremast, we advise taking the time to meet your potential instructor. Talk about the diving they do and talk about the diving you want to do and see whether your potential instructor gets excited and enthusiastic about the diving you are interested in.

Once you've decided that you have decided on an instructor, take the time to review the courses on offer and see how each one will help you acheive your ambitions. If a course doesn't fit, then don't do it.
